This entry is from Nippers.com by the Nip himself. Apparently he had a rough time at the George Carlin Show and at Carlitos, the little Mexican restaurant across the street from the Arlington. Last time I ate there the food was seriously good..it’s a simple little restaurant..they feed you, they don’t baby you! Maybe Wendy scolded him for taking her to a Mexican restaurant instead of Lucky’s…
Nipper: “ the worst response...is no response as was the case last night at Carlitos. Standing in front of the "host" after announcing that I had a 5:45 PM reservation (it was now 5:55) for a terrace table. He gave me a blank look and then I pointed to my name on the reservation list which he then crossed off. I finally got "one moment" and he walked around the full terrace and came back with some menus. Then he called to one of his service staff who brought more menus. He kept busy stacking menus while the four of us waited patiently for the table. Finally after another five minutes I asked him where our table was? He said it would be a fifteen minute wait. "But I had a reservation". He replied "You were late". We had to eat fairly quickly as I had tickets for George Carlin (not funny) at 7 PM. He finally put us at an inside table. After a fumble over wrong drink orders our food arrived at 6:55 (exactly one hour after arriving at Carlitos). A few years ago I wrote about a "host" at Cava who sported an "attitude" that made one feel less than welcome. Now I have had my second experience with poor hosts. I think some staff training is in order to the Carlitos/Cava group.” .....you could say the same for the NewsPress management!!
EAT AT CARLITOS!! Across from the Arlington! Ask for the News-Press Special!! Bueno!
I'm on my way to Carlitos. Their food is always great. Carlin is too bright for the Nip.

After posting the Nipper/Carlitos post, I got hit with a bunch of "gay porn pipe smokers and Indian casino spam"! Maybe Nipp and Trav were up late last night...
