I could barely believe my eyes when I read CRAIGSMITH this morning. He says Dr. Laura is “being honored” by the defense dept (Rumfeld’s old haunt) for supporting the war! Imagine that. Instead of working to end the foolish occupation of Iraq by the Bush Administration, she’s gets a medal for being the #1 Bush CHEERLEADER! Her charity, Operation Family Fund, allegedly helps Iraq war families because the US government won't! What a bunch of BS! The best way to help US families is to get the fuck outta Iraq!

Schlessinger has another reason to support the troops that's even nearer to her heart.
"My kidlet's in Afghanistan," she said of her who son, is deployed with the 82nd Airborne Division. "I wouldn't have understood as much as I do now (if it weren't for him). So I've taken it as my personal responsibility to get everybody up to speed."

The July 27th Armed Service Committe meeting on C-span explained part of the dire straights we are in. If people don't care to know all the lies we suffer from, what about the future? We don't have enough troops, we are not ready for future flares or contingencies. The homeland is short changed, there is no fighting 82nd remaining in the states. We are not well protected. Readiness and equipment are in serious trouble. The Army is increasing waivers (more borderline personality and criminals) and more pressure on young children to be warriors. Our soldiers suffer from the equipment problems. Industry hasn't made enough, when will they catch up? The list of critical problems is long, a Republican from the Reagan years was giving the Duncan Hunters the most information.
Remember the PhD. Laura $2,000,000.00 (her possession) donation to a yatch school? With OFF she works hard for OTHER PEOPLES MONEY (there are pictures on the internet). She cheerleads to set people up to trust a failed policy that can kill them. They deserve alot more from her. Had she put in what she raised to make it $1,000,000.00, better. Her choice to favor a yatch school is disgusting. I don't care about her excuses.
Who can understand insanity? PhD. Laura gets her understanding from Deryk Schlessinger, anyone who needs her advice, please explain. More so, Deryk has some 'splainin' to do.
