Dazed and Confused.....
Chief "Travis Runs Bare"..... on the warpath!
Has Travis been reduced to the NewsPress mascot, the token ex-drunken gay Indian that few folks pay attention to... I think so. He has been recyling opinions, beating dead horses, lying about city employees, doing a long self-pitying drunk-a-logue, and lunching with at least one county supervisor..and Wendy pays him for it!!
The latest space oddity is the NewsPress flip flop on development and property rights. First they are for it, then against, then for, then against.
Years ago when the county was preparing the anti-development Toro Canyon Plan, the NewsPress was on the side of the property owners who wanted no restrictions on their properties.
When Cottage Hopspital bought St. Francis and proposed condos on the site, the NewsPress sided with neighbors, not the new property owners.
When the new pro-development Goleta City Council was voted in, the NewsPress was all for it. Now, Travis wants to investigate the Goleta Valley Chamber of Commerce for financial ties to the new council, hinting it could cause a recall! If he threatened "to ruin" a chamber member for cancelling her NP subscription, why isn't the Better Busines Bureau on his ass??
This is what happens when you lose credibilty as a topnotch news organization...guys like me make fun of you!
Zoned Out at ZonaSeca
and Travis has been cozying up to the folks at Zona Seca who helped him with his substance abuse problems: driving real drunk on a one -way street...the wrong way! It seems that there are a few levels of drunk that qualify you for their program. Travis got the 6 month special..six months and 800 bucks to figure out not to drink and drive..wow
