The Midnite Writer at the NewsPress strikes again! The first time he snuck a porn smear story in at the last minute, this time he sneaks one onto the website that didn’t make it to the paper!
The anonymous front page story about thousands of child porn images being found on a NewsPress computer is certainly alarming. The question remains.."who did it?". Since the porn was found on a computer used by ex-editor and present Wendy legal foe Jerry Roberts, the NewsPress tried to link him. However, there were no charges brought against him. The cops say it is impossible to identify the culprit..the computers have no 'fingerprints", they were bought used, they had multiple users, etc.
Who wrote the story?? (3 guesses)
I am certain the NewsPress will try to turn this into a "protect the children" campaign instead of what it really is..smear Jerry Roberts campaign. Roberts was never charged and unless he is, he's clean. Unlike Travis, who was arrested and sent to jail for drunk driving, there was no question of guilt or responsibility!
Where does the buck stop? With Wendy, the owner. Why wasn't this garbage detected sooner? Why did they buy used computers?
All efforts should be made to find the truth here..and we'll be watching!

Whitewashing Child Pornography..written anonymously by someone at the NewsPress at 12:00 am! the Midnite Writer??
A crime was committed against this newspaper, and an even worse crime has been committed against the young children in the pornographic pictures found on a News-Press newsroom computer. Some of the photos appear to be of children just a few years old, or even younger. The Santa Barbara police have in their possession a News-Press computer that authorities say contains more than 15,000 images of child and adult pornography. More»

Looks like they took it off. Previously you could get to the article by entering the SBNP site and clicking on opinions..maybe they had second thoughts.. or the Midnite Writer struck again!

Not surprising. What a mad vision these nuts conjure up. Midnight with the "crime fighters", Wendy's sudden care for "children" ploy won't sell. The answers to all the questions are going to take time. I hope it is resolved. Meanwhile, the way the paper wrote on Sunday is wrong in many ways. They are interfering with a criminal investigation, the real criminals are escaping while others taint the evidence with their irresponsible assertions. No child in Santa Barbara is safe now that the paper implies a child pornographer is in our midst, masquerading as a news-press person. It could be anyone. All back grounds need serious official investigation. It could be a woman. Everyone is suspect. We do know who is obstructing the investigation and engaging in libel and yellow journalism. When will charges be brought? I'm going to start writing letters to advertisers. I hold anyone connected to the paper, inside and out responsible. The people who hold up a crazy person and ignores the damage must be charged and brought to public scrutiny. This is serious. They put every child in harms way. Any tourist that brings a child to Santa Barbara would have to be a pervert. No decent persons would come here now that things are this out of control. What next?

Yes... it was up on the Web site and now is gone...it read like a feeble attempt at damage control... but when you're as far down the toilet as Wendy/Travesty/Steepleton, all that gets flushed back up is, well... you know

Sonny, Is there anyplace to find Dr. Laura column on-line without supporting the Wendy. I know she's replusive, it's the monitoring we see as essential. What she says and all she leaves out.

Class, sensitivity? I'd be glad to provide a link but they take them down. As it is, the photographer changes his images often, too suggestive and it's gone. Do you bookmark? You already have the link. The poor girl has to get her goods out there and keep it Dr. approved, so her work is not YET as worked as her playmates. She tries, she is going for it. I haven't seen the 18+. She posts with others or under photographer, she can't use her own name now. It's sad in away, she's hungry. Her window of time is now, her Bluebeard will return. I know people join My Space friends. Funny thing is.. one friend goes by "Travesty". You might have to travel. Can you erase this & comments? let us know if you don't find her.
