I don't know why or for what. Maybe it's for providing gambling opportunities in Santa Ynez to thousands who are feeding their demons! I can't figure out what the ELKS CLUB is..a place for guys who like to have sex with ELKS? Well, no. but if you join you need to be over 21, be an American citizen, and believe in GOD and fidelity!

The Tribe took out a full page ad in the NewsPress (the equivalent of what FOXNEWS is to the White House) to declare they have no intention of adding 5000 slots to the Valley. Then they tell readers not to engage in a fundamental American right to protest! To justify the gambling scourge, they cite all the money they have given back to the community! Gee..thanks! I don't trust people who brag about how much money they have!!
and now the tribe has thrown yet another temper tantrum, saying it won't communicate with the County anymore..sounds like Wendy's tactics! This is what happens when your money comes too easily.....
I know nothing, but don't let that stop a comment. Part of me is glad the Chumash have something. However, I detest the whole casino scam. At times, I wish they'd pave the entire SY Valley and put everyone in pueblo style high rise, high density apartments. No wine! No methane producing cows or horses. Maybe Rona Barrett would be allowed a small lavender parcel on a roof top.
I know little about the Elks. Just what a Marine told me about his family and Elks. None is printable. He was bitter. I have been inside a lodge. It looked like good OLD drunk "boys". I think they do benefits or something. This Marine had bias, I don't know what to make of his version. It tied into his brainwashing experience with the Marines and his family. He was the evil twin and damaged. His brother was the good Marine.
