The Chapman papers, Dr. Laura, Susan Paterno and...
and, of course, Wendy and Rob Lowe...
The LA Times reports that 2000 copies of the Chapman college student newspaper was stolen from campus racks. The paper contained an in-depth article on Susan Paterno's story on the News-Press and her legal travails. Wendy has issues with Paterno, a professor at Orange County's Chapman University, the reporter who wrote "Santa Barbara Smackdown" for American Journalism Review.
Well, it appears that Paterno was trying to get interviews with Dr. Laura and Rob Lowe for the "smackdown" story..both declined!

By Susan Paterno From AJR, October/November 2006 The paper's (Santa Barbara New-Press) recently hired local columnist, Dr. Laura Schlessinger, the syndicated radio commentator, requested that I send her questions in advance before she would "commit to an interview," she wrote in an e-mail. As I was responding to Schlessinger, I received a call from Mike Paul, who described himself as "Dr. Laura's global PR consultant." He said Schlessinger is "a global brand, and she gets media opportunities all the time. If you don't provide the questions, then we can't help you." A few hours later, he followed up with another e-mail: "Let me be more clear: Dr. Laura and her team have decided to not participate at all with your story."
Not to be outdone, a publicist for actor Rob Lowe, whose request to have his address kept out of the paper sparked a major controversy, said Lowe would have no comment on the News-Press, now and "forever."
Would Rob or Laura, both Wendy loyalists, have reason to remove the Chapman papers? I dunno, but here's more, from the Book of Revelations:
" Schlessinger will claim she has dealt with the sham that she is a "psychologist". It benefits her image when her global PR firm is sloppy here, and does not notify for a correction. Schlessinger never had a Ph.D. in behavioral sciences. She misuses the title and benefits from this oversight because something like 98% of her radio act listeners believe she is a credible behavioral science Dr. The dictionary has several ways to define QUACK, in one example # "3. being a quack: a quack psychologist who complicates everyone's problems." is most fitting. Quack is the nicest term used in her town of residence. More people refer to her as charlatan or fraud. It can be said she is a quack and what she does is a radio act. In her global quest we hope people are smart and do more research. DO THE RIGHT THING. Don't hesitate to contact newspapers and bloggers who are taken in by the "psychologist" shams. The advertisers need to know what the public wants......

Did Rob Lowe send his wife back to hedge court? What happened? Did you see the "A list"?.. Rob Lowe didn't graduate from high school. Not surprizing, if true. How did a D list quack get on the A list?

Even worse than she appears. “Aggressive, hypersensitive, bossy, condescending, huge on the ego and skimpy on the tip.” Hypocritical and insufferable moralist prig of the worst order. Simply one of the most vile human beings on the face of the planet, and an embarassment to humanity."
Today she announced: "will conduct her first live Web seminar on selected topics from her latest book, " ..... "to help deliver her words of wisdom to the first 1,000 registrants."
Wendy has reasons to let the quack quack.... why hasn't the entire town of Santa Barbara called her on this?

Does Laura Schlessinger have a blog? Did you read Craig Smith today? He said "The word 'blog' has really evolved to mean any website where the content is changed frequently and allows feedback from readers." Everything she does is one way, her so-called "blog", too?

Hey SW..I don't know what's wrong with Rob..maybe I'll mosey on over to his place on Padaro and ask him.. I think he likes spoiled blonde girls..his wife sounds like a wannabe Wendy! I don't know what's wrong with Dr.Laura..other than her obvious mood affliction..if Reagan hadn't shut down all the California mental institutions, Laura would be there as a patient, not on the radio! Santa Barbara, I'm afraid, has gone to sleep.. Craig Smith was upset today...good for him..anger is a valid emotion and Craig needed to tweak his nice-guy nerd image a bit!

I just can't make sense of the many oddities of Dr. Laura. She mentioned Langston Hughes the other day. One of the others listening heard her say that she didn't know who Hughes was, he thought Hughes had attended Columbia. We looked it up, sure enough both attended Columbia. When I think of Langston Hughes, Dr. Laura is like, one of the last people I'd think to mention him.
How it went down, a boy sent a poem where he'd used Hughes writing, changing words for the boys purpose. Dr. Laura also takes others material and reworks it. I was glad she gave Hughes credit. Both Hughes and Dr. Laura were columnist. I'm wondering how did she miss knowing about him? If she had known, would she have mentioned his name?

I just saw your "do the rightwing thing" comments. Megan Moldovan is a 19 year old model. Agressive enough to have a career. She doesn't like school much. Alot of pix. Dr. Laura wouldn't like.
