The US enacted the Alien and Sedition Act in 1798 prohibiting speech advocating the overthrow of the gov’t..nowadays it has been refined to punishing those who present a “clear and present” danger to the USA..certainly not people who advocate for abortion rights… of course, Laura thinks anyone whose speech offends her should be arrested or

The NewsPress continues to live in a bubble..and soon it will burst. After Travis tried to diss TV station KEYT-3 for dropping the Unity Shoppe Telethon and reporter Tracy Lehr for trying to question Wendy during the NLRB trial, the paper announced that Nipper and Wendy Inc will be a new sponsor of the Telethon..it’s a PR move, not an altruistic one, since there’s a running feud between the two media….the Unity Telethon should say “NO THANKS!” to Wendy’s tainted money!!

Wendo Testifies….but Tracy Lehr from KEYT News wallops her and her lawyer during lunch!!

(I skipped the hearing because it’s too friggin’ hot downtown, but I got my sources well placed…)

Wendo testified at the NLRB vs NewsPress trial (Wendy vs workers) on Tuesday and things were TENSE!! Tracy Lehr from KEYT NEWS tried to ask Wendy some questions while on the lunch break. She was part of a group of media types following Wendy and co. from the courthouse. Wendy's attorney, Barry Cappello, kept snapping at Tracy like a little chihuahau! "We don't talk to rude reporters!!" he cried. All she was doing is trying ask some questions!

As Wendy and her posse scurried into the restaurant to eat, Tracy said "have a nice lunch!”

It was hysterical!.

Later, Cappello had a change of heart and talked to KEYT! Poor guy..he looked really beat up!

The News-Press trial is trudging along. I am relying on other blogs and papers to keep me up to date. This trial is not as serious as OJ Simpson’s, but the truths are the same. We all know the reporters were fired for attempting to unionize which Wendy has been fighting since she inherited a billion dollars form her x-husband. SHE HATES UNIONS..PERIOD!

As I’ve said before, subpoenas are issued like parking tickets. Case in point is the emails that the reporters wrote to each other after getting Wendy’s attention about their demands. The NewsPress wants a whole new hearing on the DEMEANOR of the emails!! They think this will prove that the group who delivered the letter to Wendy’s crew were militant with intent to do bodily harm! It is simply baloney... These emails were after the fact celebrations of a perceived victory and as such, were emotional…in the moment! The judge should see this and move on..

Ampersand wants to decertify the union over the emails!! The union also needs to get another lawyer in there ..Ira’s a flake. The workers deserve better.

As everyone knows, Dr. Laura's army son, Deryk, is being investigated for a website that depicted his unprofessional comments and military imagery: rapes, child molestation, and killings. Matt Ketteman of the Indie reports the investigation is over. Is Deryk guilty? MAYBE!! says the army.. maybe?? that was an investigation?

The once proud American army has been reduced and shamed by the current crop of personnel: from the cover up of Pat Tillman’s murder by “friendly fire” (only the current army could come up with an oxymoron like that), to fighting a civil war in Iraq for Bush’s ego, and now, covering up for Dr. Laura and her son, Deryk, an enlisted soldier with an obvious maturity problem. Why should we care??
